Community Welcome

New Willowbend residents will be personally contacted by a visit from a Committee member. A Welcome Packet of Willowbend information, coupons and maps will be presented to help the new residents get connected to Willowbend and the area.

Dining Out

Singles and couples dine out in small groups going out once each month, each couple/single taking a turn to play host and arrange the restaurant. The deadline for signing up for fall/winter, 2011-12, is November 15, 2011.

Ladies Out-to-Lunch

There are two groups, going out once a month, one on the second Tuesday (all year) and the other on the fourth Thursday of the month (October through April and then we join the 2nd Tuesday Group from May thru September). The hostess chooses and reserves the restaurant.

Men’s Lunch Group

(Also known by some as the ROMEOs - Retired Old Men Eating Out!)

Meets on 2^nd Tuesdays of each month. We meet at the Recreational Facilities Gazebo area at 11:15AM to car-pool to the restaurant of choice.

Water Aerobics

Usually meets at the community pool from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Monday through Saturday as long as the air temperature is at, or close to, 65 Degrees. For December, January and February, the group will meet from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Wine Tasting

Meets, in Willowbend homes, on the second Saturday of each month (Oct. - May). The host chooses the wines and participants bring hors d'ouevres to share. The cost of the wine is shared among participants at the end of the evening. This is a large group and the hosts occasionally have to limit attendance.
