We have had several complaints about water pressure and limited water from the irrigation system. We know some areas have been affected more than others, so here is an update.
The new Board became involved with the irrigation situation during a Landscape meeting April 2nd. A Board representative met with KW Pumps (vendor that maintains the pumps) and inspected both pumps on April 3rd. Both pumps had access to water (some communities are going dry) and we had good pressure. The pumps appeared to be operating correctly.
Since we weren’t losing pressure at the pumps, we asked LMP Irrigation to search the entire community for a possible leak in the system. LPM reported there were no leaks, but they recorded a varying range of pressures, not how it’s supposed to operate.
April 8 we had a conference call with KW Pumps-LMP-Board-Landscape Committee and the result was possible intermittent limits to water at the pumps, and we established a joint visit with all parties April 10th. All parties were present at the April 10th inspection, and a number of tests were run, pointing to a possible problem with one pump. The plan is to pull the pump, but to access the area a tree was trimmed at the North pump. The north pump will be inspected next week. Pulling the pump could result in a replacement, or repair depending on the condition of the pump. The south pump appeared to be working properly at time of inspection. We realize that this is an inconvenience and are working to resolve the problem as quickly as we can. We will keep the community up to date.
Respectfully,
John Bobianski–
