The grass culvert that separates Thornapple from Rivendell has caused problems for the residents along Thornapple, with water approaching the lanai area during our rainy season.
We requested Sarasota County to clean the pipe that drains the culvert under Crane Prairie Way and deposits water into the canal behind the homes on CPW. The County completed this task on January 14, 2026. Hopefully this eliminates the water problems our residents faced last summer.
